Current Work - February 2013

(February 2013-Saved in a draft until today opps)

What a wonderful time these past few weeks at school have been.  I am taking a large form class and am enjoying it so much. I also have been doing some tests with stains, glazes and leach liner.  I am making use of my spare time to try some new images on some platters I threw a while ago.

I am really happy with some of the pieces I pulled out of the kiln this past week. Here are a few pictures of the pieces before they were fired.

For my remaining weeks at school I will be working on stain tests and making large platters and bowls for my final work this semester and also will be using some pieces for my grad piece I will enter in to the grad show.

I am really glad I stumbled upon some designs I really enjoy making. As much as I enjoyed doing cherry blossoms for some time and experimenting with carving I wasn't as satisfied and excited with my work as I was in the past. It is nice to find excitement over and over and I am glad I fell into something I like again.
